Sedona is known to many as the most beautiful place in America. There is even an old saying, "God created the Grand Canyon, but He lives in Sedona." But to really experience the splendor of Sedona, you have to get out of the jeep, put you feet on the ground and start walking!!

But where do you go with almost 3 million acres of national forest, over 300 miles of marked trails and seven major canyons? You could literally explore this land for a lifetime and not see it all. You could choose to go where many people visit: Cathedral Rock, The Chapel, Airport Mesa...the list goes on.

But, we encourage you to get off the beaten path and experience other amazing vistas, ancient ruins, seclusive swimming holes, deep canyons, sacred ceremonial sites and so much more!!!

Our guided hikes are unique, usually cost half of what other guides charge and come with exclusive services not yet offered anyplace else.

We offer professional photography complete with memorable keepsakes, "brown bag brunch" specials that include great local foods and the option to weave in simple ceremony. It's all up to you. Just let us know how much time you have, what you'd like to see and experience and we will customize a guided tour around you and your interests.

Hike Sedona ~ Boynton Canyon Trail

A Great Vortex Hike with Shade

Hike Sedona ~ Boynton Canyon Trail

Trail Description

Boynton Canyon Trail is one of the most popular trails in Sedona. The drive back to the parking lot at the trailhead is one of the most scenic drives in Sedona. The trail itself winds along Enchantment Resort, at first and then back into an amazing canyon that is often shaded. There are Indian ruins and this is considered a vortex trail.

At the parking lot you will see signs leading to the trailhead. From there you will wind pass the resort and shortly after a mile the trail moves down towards the canyon floor.

At about 3 miles in the canyon becomes narrow. Many people stop here, but if you are feeling adventurous you can walk the creek-bed (often dry) and stay right at the fork. Look for a small path that heads through some vegetation and you will eventually be surrounded by amazing cliffs. (Well worth the extra effort.)
