To Sencha or Matcha??

Sencha and Matcha are two of the most beneficial green teas for enhancing our health and well-being. Both Matcha and Sencha have high levels of l-theanine. L-theanine is the component in tea that is found to be very relaxing and clarifying for the mind. It is found in all green teas but Matcha has a very high content of l-theanine and in total overall antioxidants; yet it also is very high, comparatively, in caffeine. Matcha's l-theanine content is higher than that of Sencha's, too.

Matcha is comparatively unparalelled--to other teas, fruits and vegetables--in it's antioxidant, polyphenol, mineral, vitamin and amino acid content. This is because Matcha powder is the whole tea leaf--stoneground; allowing for the health benefits of the whole tea leaf to be available to the body when brewed and consumed.

One cup of Matcha tea is equivalent to 10 cups of brewed green tea. Just some of it's benefits include cancer-fighter and fat-burner.

Sencha is processed with steam--immediately after the young leaves are hand-harvested--which locks in it's potent health benefits. Sencha tea has a high content of antioxidants and polyphenols which help with neutralizing the effects of free radicals in the body. Sencha tea helps to prevent coronary artery disease and atherosclerosis.
